70s-Inspired Skate Shoe Silhouettes

The PUMA x Mike Cherman Collab References Lords of Dogtown

Global sports brand PUMA and founder of Chinatown Market, Mike Cherman, embark on an epic collaboration that makes a slick skate shoe silhouette available to consumers. The project derives inspiration from the 70s era and, more specifically, the iconic 'Lords of Dogtown' which is the ultimate tribute to the skate culture in Southern California.

Dubbed the Cali-0, the skate shoe silhouette boasts a textured, swimming pool-referencing upper with soft rippled blue. This is a direct nod to the former years of skateboarding when Californian sports enthusiasts and professionals would use empty pool bowls to skate in. In addition, the footbed boasts a playful checkered print.

Along with the stylish and performance-driven skate shoe silhouette, PUMA and Mike Cherman launch a range of apparel which includes a checkboard hoodie and tee, as well as a pool-printed top and pant.
