Vans skater Axel Cruysberghs is often enjoying rides on his bike or trekking through the Southern Californian mountains and his latest project highlights a pair of the Skate Old Skool Sport sneakers. He launched his first colorway inspired by his beloved dog, Alma. Axel Cruysberghs taps into different elements for inspiration: his admiration of outdoor adventure and skateboarding.

The Skate Old Skool Sport nods to themes from the 90s with a focus on hiking and outdoor palettes such as pine green with touches of pink and purple. It is a vulcanized shoe that is constructed from hairy suede and textiles for a durable and textural look. Some technical updates include the PopCush cushioning for comfort and the DURACAP reinforced details. The molded heel counter is reconstructed and the internal tongue straps ensure that the foot is secure.
