Panasonic Launches New Digital Marketplace With Singapore Air

Panasonic Avionics Corporation and Singapore Airlines have teamed up to introduce 'myKrisWorld,' an innovative inflight entertainment and eCommerce platform. This all-in-one digital solution will provide flyers with food and beverage ordering options, storefront and duty-free retail offerings, and a dynamic entertainment system.

This in-air marketplace will allow Singapore Airlines to customize its retail offerings and provide shoppers with real-time updates. Users will be able to browse over 4000 consumer products, which they can order to their homes or – in some instances – pick-up for their next flight.

In addition, 'myKrisWorld' will be equipped with the latest analytics technologies, creating a new avenue for tracking and monitoring product performance. "E-commerce is the future of shopping, and integrating this feature into our in-flight entertainment system is yet another industry first for SIA," said Yeoh Phee Teik, the SVP of Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines.
