Inaugural Celebrity-Founded Standalone QSRs

Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken Opens in Maryland

Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken has opened its first standalone location in Maryland at the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre in Gambrills. This move follows the fast-casual restaurant chain's prior presence at Baltimore's CFG Bank Arena.

The grand opening celebration for Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken standalone location is scheduled for August 8, 2026. The festivities will include free food for the first 100 and various giveaways throughout the afternoon. The menu features signature stacked chicken sandwiches such as The Shaq Attack and The Ultimate, which are loaded with indulgent toppings like mac and cheese and crispy onion rings. Additional items include crispy tenders, a lineup of dipping sauces called Dunks, hand-spun milkshakes, and a unique Shaq Snacks offering that places tenders on garlic toast with bold toppings.
