Series of Texture by Beth Galton, a photographer based in New York City, is a stunning study on the artistic property of various foods. Unlike her previous project in which she dissected meals in half to give the viewers an insightful look into bowls of noodles and cups of coffee, this series captures the paint-like quality of fruits, vegetables and even fish.
Working in collaboration with food stylist Charlotte Omnès, Series of Texture by Beth Galton may focus specifically on the delectable textures of such foods, but it also brings to light their rich colors. Both of these qualities, which are often trapped in a particular shape, are freed on canvases for audiences to enjoy. Granted, they might make some stomach's grumble with hunger.
