Self-Isolation Dance Parties

'Stevie' is a New Short Dance Film Examining the Mind of a Teen

Amid the COVID-19 crisis currently taking place, many teens around the globe are faced with the same issues: self-isolation and social distancing. In an effort to capture the inner workings of the minds of these Gen Zs, Director Ante Kovac and Cinematographer Stuart Campbell released a short dance film titled 'Stevie.'

Set to LCD Soundsystem, the audience sees Stephanie being awoken by her father and the powerful, electro-disco beats slowly begin playing. The melody of the tune eventually sparks a journey that brings Stevie out of her bedroom and into a crowded dance party. Viewers see Stephanie slowly transforms into 'Stevie,' a punk-inspired woman living in the moment. This video represents the power of music and self-expression, and while many feel trapped at home, we can make the most out of it with our own self-isolation dance parties.
