Smart Astrophotography Telescopes

Seestar S30 Pro Captures Deep-Sky Photos While You Sleep

The Seestar S30 Pro captures deep-sky photos while you sleep as a compact all-in-one smart telescope designed to automate wide-field astrophotography for galaxies, nebulae and the Milky Way. Produced by ZWO ASTRO, the Seestar S30 Pro integrates an apochromatic optical system, precision mount, camera sensors and onboard image processing into a single portable body that weighs about 1.65 kg, small enough to fit in a backpack yet intended to function as an instrument for night-sky imaging. Users can plan a target in the companion app, power up the telescope and let it automatically locate, track and capture a night’s worth of exposures.

The primary imaging camera uses a Sony IMX585 STARVIS 2 4K sensor paired with a quadruplet refractor lens to improve field flatness, colour correction and detail capture across extended sky areas. A secondary wide-angle camera with a high-resolution sensor supports expansive Milky Way and star-trail photographs, and the system can stack multiple short exposures to enhance signal-to-noise ratios without constant user intervention.
