Dubai-based fashion stylist, makeup artist and photographer Gene Ginno Alducente's recent series 'Seduction of Mata-Hari' conjures imagery of an ancient Persia teeming with decadence and pleasure.
His designs incorporate frizzy hair with intricate, ornately patterned jewelry for a stunning effect. Completing this look is the glossy, almost metallic texture of the model's makeup. In fact, it's as though their lipstick, shimmering in the dim light of the setting in which the series was shot, has been made with gold finely ground into a powdery dust. This wouldn't be surprising judging by size of their earrings. The hazy photography also helps to emphasize the dreamy, languid feel that the models, clothing and makeup do so well to evoke.
