Sensitive-Skin Scented Detergents

Tide Adds Light Fragrance to Its Gentle Laundry Line

Sensitive-skin scented detergents are combining fragrance with formulas designed for consumers who prioritize gentler laundry products. Tide is expanding its Free & Gentle portfolio with Tide Fresh & Gentle, its first dermatologist-tested scented addition to the line in more than 30 years. Available in Coastal Oasis and White Lavender scents, the detergents are made without dyes and maintain the cleaning performance associated with the existing Free & Gentle formula. Coastal Oasis incorporates light notes of pear, peach, jasmine, lily, linen and amber.

The launch allows Tide to address consumers who enjoy scented laundry but have traditionally turned to fragrance-free products because of sensitive-skin considerations. By creating an option positioned between conventional scented detergents and fragrance-free formulas, Tide can reach a broader range of laundry preferences. The expansion also gives the established Free & Gentle line new variety while helping Tide compete across the growing gentle household-care market.
