eBay and Anthony Davis partnered to market an online game with a “Santa Sneaker Drop,” which is a mobile AR giveaway that will distribute 500 pairs of collectible shoes.
The contest ran from December 22-24, where people could enter the contest up to five times each day. The AR “Santa Sneaker Drop” gave consumers a chance to win one of 19 different styles of sneakers, including Air Jordan 1 Travis Scott, Nike Air Max 97 Sean Wotherspoon, and the Jordan Off-white Chicago.
Consumers could enter the contest by going to the “Santa Sneaker Drop” website to access the AR content. Following that they could enter their email to see a virtual gift, which would either be a consolation message or one of the prizes.
