The SANAA Armless Chair is More Intriguing Than its Name Suggests
Amelia Roblin — September 6, 2011 — Art & Design
Despite being called the SANAA 'Armless Chair,' this adorable seating object has a more noticeably physical feature than the absence of its armrests. The fetching furnishing takes on the adorable form of rounded rabbit ears that give the piece a cute character.
It's interesting how such simplicity can result in such an endearing design, since the playful perch is more or less made from two molded materials, metal and wood. The mere excision of the backrest's center transforms the seat into a rather quirky composition.
As if the regular SANAA Armless Chair wasn't darling enough, manufacturer Nextmaruni is producing the piece is sizes Mini and Minimini for children. Each of the three models can be ordered in the natural timber shade, or one of the seven other delectable colors.
