When people think of salt landscapes, the famous salt flats in Bolivia probably come to mind; yet this photo series capturing the San Francisco salt ponds shows that there are also location just as beautiful. Although people can't interact with this place as they can in Bolivia, the purple hue of the San Francisco salt ponds will enchant people just the same.
Shot by photographer Julieanne Kost, the San Francisco salt ponds is part of her ongoing book project, 'Window Seat, The Art of Digital Photography and Creative Thinking.' Like something out of a Dr. Seuss book, the colorful images are full of blue canals and white fields that really lets the purple of the ponds stand out all the more.
