Samsung SmartThings Energy Will Team Up with Tesla at CES 2024

Samsung SmartThings Energy has announced it will be teaming up with Tesla at CES 2024 to help consumers with their smart home energy monitoring experience.

The partnership will see Samsung SmartThings offering support for the Tesla Powerwall, Wall Connector, Solar Inverter and the brand's electric vehicles. SmartThins will now sync with the Tesla Powerwall Storm Watch functionality to help consumers plan ahead for potential power disruptions and outages related to extreme weather.

SVP of Powertrain and Energy Engineering at Tesla Drew Baglino spoke on the Samsung SmartThings Energy partnership saying, "At Tesla we are excited to add capability to our products to interact with other intelligent devices and software in customers’ homes… We are pleased that Samsung has chosen to be an early developer… Customers will be able to view the status of their grid connectivity across multiple devices and intelligently control home loads to extend their Powerwall energy when off grid."
