Nutrition labels as they exist today are difficult to comprehend without a background in nutrition which is why the Sage Project app is merging food data with charming design. The app still provides the same information as standard food labels, but it also adds information and data that's relevant to consumers, all while presenting that with a cute design interface.
The Sage Project app organizes food by both brand and product, so consumers can quickly reference whatever food items they buy. Aside from straight numbers, the app includes certifications like organic or gluten-free up front and has designated "badges" for products with low sodium, no cholesterol, no artificial ingredients and high nutrient density, to name a few.
The Sage Project app fulfills a need that public nutrition information cannot for health-conscious consumers.
