Collector Tote Tributes

The Ryuichi Sakamoto POTR Tote Bags Honor Composer with an Exclusive Lp

The collaborative Ryuichi Sakamoto POTR tote bags celebrate the late composer with richly layered designs and collectible appeal. Crafted by POTR in collaboration with sakamotocommon and designer GOO CHOKI PAR, the oversized graphic shoulder bags are oversized to fit 12-inch vinyl records and feature prints depicting Sakamoto mid-performance in bold, multi-color scenes. “The graphic colorways are a futuristic blue/red … and a black/white evoking the silence of sound,” reads the brand statement—linking the themes of the 1970 and 2025 World Expos.

Each tote includes an exclusive LP, Ryuichi Sakamoto: Playing the Baschet, featuring his own record of Baschet sound sculpture inspired performances—his first posthumous release since 2023. The bags debut on August 30 in Osaka at both PORTER locations and the accompanying Ryuichi Sakamoto exhibition at VS. (Bunka Souvenirs). This collaboration bridges design, music, and memory, creating a tangible homage that’s both functional and scholarly.
