Tado is updating its smart thermostat app with new tools designed to make home heating more efficient and help users keep an eye on indoor conditions. Its new AI-powered Open Window Detection learns room patterns and pauses heating when it detects that a window has been left open, helping avoid wasting energy heating a room while cold air comes in.
The updated Air Comfort feature also gives users a clearer picture of humidity levels around the home. It categorises conditions as Low, Elevated or High in each room equipped with a smart thermostat, helping people spot potential damp problems before they lead to mould.
Some of the new features require a subscription, including Open Window Detection and the Mold Index, while the redesigned home screen is available to all customers. Tado X users also gain Apple Live Activities for heating Boost, making it easier to check and manage temporary heating changes across iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac.
