The 'Lampster' is an intuitive robot lamp that can be controlled with a smartphone app. Traditionally, lamps are reserved for a single purpose. However, these designers have created a futuristic light fixture that does more than just illuminate a room.
The Lampster is a robot lamp made from recycled bike headlights and pieces of an old tractor. These exterior pieces are customizable, meaning users can choose the style or color of their device. The lamp itself features two LED light sources, one of which is controlled by mobile and one of which is controlled by touch. The app-controlled light fixture allows users to change the color or intensity of the light from anywhere in the room. This feature also allows users to sync the light to a playlist and make the device flash to the beat of a song.
The robotic lamp is currently available for pre-order via Kickstarter.
