‘Real Life Instagram’ is a project by Bruno Ribeiro that brings frames from the social photo-sharing app to the streets. The effect of the cutout posters instantly frames a view, creating a picture-perfect snapshot without having to take a picture.
To add even more ingenuity to the frames, Ribeiro adds coloured “filters," which add colored tints to the contents inside the frames. Each of the photos is already "liked" and includes the hashtags "RealLifeInstagram," "PostMe" and "TagMe."
People on the streets of London found these frames incredibly amusing, posing to take pictures through the frames. The idea is unbelievably simple, but it totally changes the way people experience and view these streetscapes.
