The RØDE RØDECaster Video S has been debuted by the brand as a smaller, more cost-effective alternative to its all-in-one production console that's targeted towards indie creators.

The unit is targeted towards indie creators including bedroom streamers and video podcasters, and has a compact size that has minimal input and scene buttons to choose from. The system boasts a plastic enclosure over a metal one to keep costs lower, while inputs and outputs are dropped to three and one, respectively. The unit has 24GB of internal storage.

The RØDE RØDECaster Video S is available now for preorder for $499 and responds to the increased market for lower cost equipment as more consumers embrace solo content creation from home.
