Trader Joe's has just expanded its bakery lineup to include new Raisin Walnut Apple Bars.
While there are plenty of 'bars' on the market, many are high in sugar or loaded with unfamiliar ingredients. Trader Joe's new Raisin Walnut Apple Bars are designed to offer a better-for-you alternative made from a blend of high gluten wheat and barley flours. This mixture is then sweetened naturally with date paste and honey, as well as add-ins like diced apples, raisins, and tender walnut pieces. Lastly, cinnamon and a touch of salt are added to tie all the flavors together.
Beyond the great taste, the new Raisin Walnut Apple Bars are also good for you. Each one contains five grams of fiber, 10 grams of protein, and only six grams of naturally derived sugar in one serving.
