Futuristic Railway Pods

French design studio hehe recently unveiled their latest project, a series of railroad surfing vehicles that they imagine will be used as transport in the future. While their project is still very conceptual, it explores urban travel and thinks about ways that it will change or evolve in the next few years.

When one thinks of traditional railway travel, underground subways and above-ground trains come to mind by hehe's transportation concept aims to change this notion. As many individuals begin to seek more and more privacy while commuting, the studio's solitary travel pods may end up being more popular than expected.

The transparent pods feature a cylindrical design that is illuminated with an M symbol, inspired by underground METRO systems. This travel pod puts commuters in the driver's seat and is all about privacy, convenience and control. In addition to their more futuristic railroad surfing vehicles, hehe design studio also explores another railway travel concept with a second, life raft-inspired model.
