The Bose QuietComfort headphones have received their first hardware refresh in three years, introducing several audio and comfort upgrades. The updated model adds Bose Immersive Audio, bringing the spatial listening feature previously reserved for the QuietComfort Ultra lineup to the standard series. Cinema Mode is also supported for clearer dialogue during films and television, while USB-C audio enables wired lossless playback at up to 24-bit/48kHz. The headphones support two-way USB-C audio for improved voice quality during video calls and continue operating while charging.
The active noise cancellation system has also been updated with an improved algorithm that responds more naturally to sudden environmental sounds in Aware Mode. The six-microphone ANC setup compensates for gaps created by glasses, helping maintain consistent noise reduction. Bose also redesigned the headband, added softer cushioning, and introduced oval-shaped earcups for greater comfort. The refreshed model launches in black, white, and limited-edition colorways, with pre-orders opening August 8 and shipments beginning August 13.
