Pulse from Teko Toys is a new game that tasks players with modifying their heart rate and the heart rate of those they're playing against. The game features headbands that are connected to a heart rate monitor. Players draw one of three cards: body, mind or duel. The player is then challenged to either raise or lower their heart rate or to raise the heart rate of the person they're playing against.
Teko Toys is playing coy about how exactly you keep score or win in Pulse. However, the lack of information doesn't make the game any less intriguing. Modern video game consoles feature games that use your body as the controller, but there aren't any games that use your heart rate to decide who wins and loses. Pulse from Teko Toys sells from $50 and is out now.
