Protein-Fueled Coffee

Starbucks Brings Protein Lattes and Cold Foam to Its Modern Menu

Starbucks introduces protein lattes and protein cold foam as part of its modern menu lineup, offering a way to boost your daily protein while enjoying your regular coffee routine. Starting September 29, customers can add protein cold foam—about 15 to 26 grams per grande—available in flavors like banana, vanilla, chocolate, matcha, salted caramel, brown sugar, and seasonal options such as pumpkin and pecan.

The Protein Lattes, made with protein-boosted milk, deliver 27 to 36 grams of protein per grande, while the enriched milk can also be added to any milk-based beverage for an extra 12 to 16 grams. This move responds to growing consumer interest in higher-protein diets while keeping flavor front and center. Though the menu expansion has sparked debate, with some craving simplicity and others embracing innovation, Starbucks is making these new offerings a permanent addition that blends convenience, nutrition, and the familiar coffee experience.
