Progressive Lifestyle Solutions (PLS) is a community interest company (CIC) based in Walton, Liverpool that is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. The goal for all of the users is independent living, which PLS sees as a long-term goal that must be sustainable.
PLS is more than just an apartment or a home, however, it's also a community that fosters community engagement and interaction. They take a holistic approach to the middle part of their name, that is, the lifestyle. "One of the main barriers to employment and independent living can be the presence of gaps in a service user's CV," they write on their website about the necessity of employment training and education.
