A24's Problemista Tells a Tale of Meaningful Connections

Julio Torres' latest project is done with A24 in the form of the Problemista film, which he wrote, directed, and stars in. He tells a story of how beauty is found in true emotional honesty and draws inspiration from his own experience immigrating to the US. The film follows Alejandro, who is from El Salvador and has dreams of being a toymaker. He makes his way to America with visions to work for Hasbro.

At a young age, Alejandro sees the world as magical and vibrant and has since nourished that imagination. He can transform these grand and fantasy concepts into reality. The film is comprised of an ensemble of stories as viewers get to know the different characters deeply. It stars "Greta Lee, Spike Einbinder, Kelly McCormack, Megan Stalter, Charlene Incarnate, Martine Gutierrez, and Carlos E. Navedo."
