President Obama is an inspiration to many, even with regards to his style sense. A Rwandan company has been discovered to have Obama-inspired denim under his name, with a patriotic crest as its logo and President Obama’s mug on the tag.

Not too much is known about these jeans, but the news did come out after much, um, commentary has been made on President Obama’s casual wear style. Perhaps that speaks for itself...

Implications - Consumers are looking for more ways than ever to express themselves. Products that feature a certain popular character that shoppers identify with are appealing to those who want to show their personality through their fashion. Companies could adopt this element of referencing into their items to attract more shoppers.
