Curology is bringing its teledermatology model into physical retail with the Prescription Acne Kit, a $24.97 starter bundle now available in 1,000 Walmart stores. The kit includes Curology’s cleanser and moisturizer, plus a scratch-off digital code that unlocks an online consultation and a 60-day supply of the brand’s Custom Formula Rx.
The rollout is focused on stores in areas Curology identifies as dermatologist deserts, giving shoppers a more direct entry point into prescription acne care. Walmart supported the launch with end-cap merchandising and in-store events featuring live dermatologist consultations. Curology also rebuilt its onboarding flow for the test, which takes under seven minutes and can lead to medication shipping within 24 hours.
Early results suggest the retail model may broaden access: Curology said Walmart shoppers converted to consultations and prescriptions at five times its online rate, with little overlap among existing subscribers.
