Perfundia is a website for product developers who want to gain more interest in their projects before they launch on Kickstarter or IndieGoGo. It uses a mix of data points like page views and followers to predict what the odds are of the specific project being able to reach its funding goals. More than a thousand projects have used Prefundia to gain more in-depth knowledge and there are 318 still in the works.
Co-founder of Prefundia is Jeff Schwarting and he says that Prefundia users are having success rates of 689% more than a crowdsourced campaign that did not use Prefundia. Those who used the website raised on average 412% more money than a regular Kickstarter campaign.
Prefundia is now opening its successful platform to mobile app entrepreneurs. Schwarting expects there to be an increase in interest for Prefundia when app developers are able to see what interest there is in their soon-to-be mobile apps.
