Trader Joe's is bringing a taste of Korean street food to its frozen aisle with the debut of its new Potato Cheese Sticks.
In Korea, a popular street food is a corndog studded with little bits of potato on the outside. When fried, these golden brown poptato pieces add a crunchy texture and a savory flavor that perfectly complements the ingredients inside the batter.
Now, Trader Joe's has taken this concept and replaced the typical frankfurter with cheese. The result is a comforting snack that starts with a crispy, lightly sweet, potato-studded batter on the outside, and a gooey, melty cheese center on the inside. Though excellent on their own, these Potato Cheese Sticks also pair well with a little ketchup and mustard.
