This Japanese Posture Support Looks Like a Humanoid Plastic Hand

With increasing concern over workplace health, a variety of different posture support devices have been introduced to the market -- but none as strange as this Japanese chin-holding hand.

The posture support tool comes from Japanese retailer Thanko. It can be bent in any direction to help straighten the user's back either by holding their chin or cheek up. If a worker needs to take a quick nap at their desk, it can also be used as a cushion, avoiding the pesky pins and needles that occur when one uses one's natural hand to take a desk nap.

Although this is a bizarre example of such a product, posture support devices and office furniture that encourage proper posture are truly becoming increasingly popular as office workers seek out ways to maintain orthopedic health.
