Pair Continues to Innovate for the Post-Covid Office Environment

The post-Covid office environment has posed new opportunities and challenges for workers, employers, and designers who seek to accommodate them. Office brands like the San Francisco-based Pair take it upon themselves to create solutions to enhance flexibility and efficiency in the workspace.

Pair identified that the post-Covid office environment includes four types of workers—"full-time, part-time, hybrid, and temporary." As such, the company's new locker system seeks to accommodate the changing foot traffic in the office. Called SOMA, the system is flexible, impactful, and well-integrated. It is compact enough so that it can fit "hundreds of lockers on a single office floor," it does not pose any hindrance to individual or collaborative workflow, and it encourages green spaces in the office as the lockers can be "a base for tables and planters."
