Blender is bringing its 3D software to Android so artists can keep working away from a desk without switching apps. The port is expected in the first half of 2027 and is being built for standalone tablets with touch and pen controls, aimed at modeling and animation on portable hardware.
A pre-built Android Package Kit (APK), the installable app file, is already available for testing, and Blender 5.3 has also been demonstrated on a Wacom Android tablet. That makes the port feel close to everyday use and gives artists a more natural way to pick up detailed work in shorter sessions.
For creatives, this means a portable 3D workflow no longer has to start with Apple's hardware or a desk-bound display. Android tablets take on a clearer role as actual creation devices, not just screens for sketching around a larger workstation.
