It doesn't take long for digital photo libraries to become cluttered and Canon is offering a solution to this with its newest app, Photo Culling. The app leverages artificial intelligence to help users find the best images in a series of similar photos, so that computer vision can quickly assess shots based on factors like sharpness, noise, emotions and closed eyes. With the app, users can choose from Whole Culling, which assigns a score based on the aforementioned factors, or Similar Culling, which organizes similar images into groups.
The app incorporates Canon's computer-vision artificial intelligence engine, PHIL, also known as Photography Intelligence Learning.
The app helps to keep photos organized in a tidy way, and it also offers dynamic albums based on events that happen throughout the year.
