Being that the astronauts on the Mercury 7 team wore PF Flyers during their training on the ground, the sneakers come as a welcome new way for space enthusiasts to live out their fandom in real life.

Called the 'Mercury All American,' the sneakers are crafted with Nomex heat-resistant material on the exterior, which is similar to what was used in original space suits. This gives the sneakers a modern yet retro aesthetic that speaks to the growing consumer interest in space travel and exploration.

Only 21 pairs of the PF Flyers x Heddels sneakers have been made and are available for $380 by lottery only.
