Peter Gray created some wild hair looks for the recent Yokohama Hair Renaissance event in Japan. The looks were all towering and dramatic, but also looked rather mop-inspired.

From big broom-shaped hair to stringy mop-styles, the looks seemed modeled after an odd muse. Either way, the hair turned heads and kept up Peter Gray’s reputation as a king of hair!

Implications - During the recession, the hairstyling industry exploded as credit-crunched fashionistas sought to add flavor to their fashion without breaking their budget by trying sculptural hair styles and unusual colors and silhouettes. Couture designers responded by pushing their creations into avant-garde territory, designing futuristic hairstyles that seemingly defy gravity.
