Handtevy Mobile Gives Florida Clinicians Patient-Specific Guidance

Florida is expanding emergency medication support with Handtevy Mobile, giving eligible hospital emergency departments and emergency medical services agencies statewide access to patient-specific dosing and care guidance during urgent treatment. Made by Handtevy, the app also puts each organization's approved protocols on screen for adult and pediatric patients.

The statewide rollout adds ScanSafe, a barcode check that lets clinicians scan a drug at the bedside and match its concentration to the patient's dosing information before an order is entered in the electronic health record. That matters in Florida as hospitals work toward pediatric readiness rules that took effect July 1, 2026 and require weight-based medication policies in every emergency department. State-funded access also gives more Florida organizations a workable path to meet pediatric dosing expectations without building a separate workflow from scratch.
