The Xevi Fernández Fall/Winter 2016 collection was unveiled at Fashion Week Madrid's EGO event and stunned audiences with its contemporary pastel clothing. Drawing inspiration from sci-fi film imagery and the New Wave music genre of the early 80s, this menswear range fuses pastel clothing staples with sculptural accessories.
Fusing retro and futuristic elements, the collection highlights shiny textures that are a result of its vinyl fabrics. Standouts from the collection include pastel rain coats and embroidered knits that are accented with a "Future" message.
Referencing the sculptural eyewear, visors and headpieces of the 80s, this sci-fi-themed collection blends the decade's fearless aesthetic with oversized silhouettes. Though fun and conceptual, this collection is surprisingly wearable with pieces that promote comfort and ease.
