Luvme Hair is expanding the possibilities of human hair garments
by transforming human hair from a styling element into a material for clothing, accessories, and runway looks. The brand partnered with celebrity hairstylist Evanie Frausto for SHOWPONY SS27 at New York Fashion Week, where more than 90% of the looks incorporated Luvme Hair. The presentation also debuted Luvme Originalive, a premium human hair collection designed around realistic texture, natural movement, and styling versatility. Hair appeared across hairstyles, garments, accessories, and footwear, including a closing look made entirely with Luvme Hair.
For Luvme, the runway provides a high-visibility introduction to Originalive ahead of its October 2026 consumer launch. Using the collection in unconventional applications demonstrates its versatility while connecting the brand with fashion audiences. The collaboration could also broaden perceptions of wigs and extensions, positioning premium human hair as both a beauty product and creative fashion material.

What's Driving This Trend
- Hair-based Fashion
- Human hair is emerging as a textile-adjacent material that blurs beauty and apparel, creating space for premium extensions to become sculptural garments, accessories, and performance-fashion elements.
- Runway Beauty Materials
- Fashion week collaborations are reframing beauty products as visible design media, giving brands new cultural relevance through high-concept styling, fabrication, and editorial storytelling.
- Texture-realistic Extensions
- Premium hair collections centered on natural movement and authentic texture are expanding beyond cosmetic use cases, supporting more versatile applications across styling, wearables, and luxury fashion presentation.
Who This Affects Most
- Beauty
- The beauty sector is seeing hair products repositioned as expressive materials, opening new value around craftsmanship, customization, and hybrid product categories.
- Fashion
- Apparel and accessory designers are gaining unconventional material options that can introduce biomaterial aesthetics, tactile novelty, and crossover appeal with beauty consumers.
- Luxury Goods
- High-end brands can treat premium human hair as a distinctive material language, strengthening exclusivity through limited-run pieces, runway concepts, and collectible design objects.
