'Origin Wireless AI' launched an at-home monitoring solution for elder care that is not invasive. Many elder care monitors involve cameras or robots, which can both be invasive to personal privacy. For example, an individual going to the bathroom would not like to know that a camera is watching them for safety purposes. This is where Origin's AI-powered solution comes into play.

The technology was developed in collaboration with 'Aloe Care Health,' and it allows for tracking an individual's status simply through a wi-fi signal. The basis for the technology is wi-fi sensing, which is the ability to determine a person's status, such as sitting, sleeping, or standing, based on their wi-fi signals. This is an excellent non-invasive solution that can provide insight into whether an individual has fallen ill, been injured, or is in need of assistance anywhere in the house, or more specifically, in the bathroom where camera solutions are typically not used. The device can detect falls and breaks in breathing and contact authorities when necessary, ensuring that individuals remain safe and cared for.
