Codeless Natural Language Models

Spacelift Has Introduced a New Operational Model, Named Intent

Spaceshift's new operational model, which goes by the name of Intent, allows for the deployment of cloud computing resources using instructions written in plain English rather than specialized configuration code like HCL.

Intent functions by interpreting a user's descriptive request and directly executing the necessary commands through cloud provider application programming interfaces. The technology is positioned not as a replacement for established Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices used for critical systems, but as a complementary method for non-production environments such as prototypes or testing grounds.

Spaceshift's new operational model incorporates existing policy and audit controls from the company's core product to maintain governance. It is offered both as an open-source project and as a managed commercial service. It is also incorporates existing policy and audit controls from the company's core product to maintain governance.
