The 'One Step Cleaner' Pill is Versatile and Biodegradable

The 'One Step Cleaner' pill is a product created by a coalition of university students based in Celaya, Mexico. This pill is sold in pouches that, when mixed with water, create an environmentally-friendly, versatile cleaning product. The One Step Cleaner solution can be used as a disinfectant, it can be used to clean dishes, and it can be used as a cleaning agent for a variety of other parts of the home. On top of this, the One Step Cleaner pill is made with only food-grade reagents.

The group of design students that engineered this pill did so with the intention of reducing plastic waste in Mexico. Each year, thousands of kilograms of plastic is discarded because of unsustainable home cleaning products. With this all-in-one solution, One Step Cleaner hopes to reduce as much as 500 kilograms of plastic waste in its first year. Should the brand achieve this goal, it will continue to increase production and scale over time.
