Efficient Autonomous Power Plants

The Oklo Aurora Energy Plant is Set to Come Online in 2025

The Oklo Aurora energy plant is designed as an efficient power solution for small communities that's set to shake up perceptions of what nuclear power plants look like. The power plant is positioned to come online in 2025 in Idaho and utilizes High-assay, low-enriched uranium (HALEU), which offers enhanced efficiency over conventional nuclear sources.

The plant is reported to deliver an almost entirely autonomous functionality for up to 20 years, while also producing far less waste when compared to a typical nuclear facility. The first power plant is expected to provide enough power for 1,000 homes that will work with renewable sources to help shift the economy further away from fossil fuel.

The Oklo Aurora energy plant is characterized by its ultra-futuristic design that also takes up far less space than conventional power plants.
