Presidential Toy Murals

Black and White Obaminoes Created With 24,000 Domino Tiles

The fifth grade class of Franklin Avenue Elementary School in Massachusetts teamed with mathematicians from Westfield State College to create this mural in honor of President Barack Obama.

The mural was made with 24,000 domino pieces and helped the students learn about linear programming math, all while celebrating the 44th president.

Franklin Avenue Elementary School Student, Josh Weaver, was more than happy to participate in the project and said, “It makes me feel good because this is a big project. I’ve never done anything this big. It’s really cool.”
