Sculptural Incense Burners

The Nuvolino turns incense into a soft, breathing form through a ceramic figure that appears to exhale scented smoke. Designed by Giulio Iacchetti, the piece features a rounded head, tapered body and a single circular opening that releases a thin stream of incense smoke. The sculptural silhouette is intentionally simple so attention stays on the movement of the smoke as it rises and disperses. The matte white ceramic creates gentle highlights and shadows that shift with the light, giving the figure a quiet presence on a table or shelf. The form references traditional incense burners while removing costume or ornament, so the gesture of “breathing” becomes the focus.

The design introduces a subtle ritual to interior spaces by making scent release feel like a calm moment rather than a background effect. The figure’s proportions and stillness emphasize contemplation and atmosphere. Nuvolino offers a way to integrate fragrance into daily routines while adding a sculptural object that feels both modern and expressive.
