Naver and LINE NEXT Launch an NFT Platform Called NOW.Drops for Kpop Fans

South Korean internet corporation Naver Corp. has collaborated with LINE NEXT to launch NOW.Drops. NOW.Drops is a platform dedicated to offering customized minted NFTs of South Korean artists featured on NOW, Naver’s audio and video streaming platform. Users can mint and preserve the exclusive videos of their preferred artists, purchase “crystals,” and utilize LINE’s e-wallet DOSI to make payments and log in.

To celebrate the official launch of NOW.Drops, Kpop girl group NMIXX held a special concert on NOW and hosted an airdrop event on the platform.

The popularity of K-pop NFTs can be attributed to a combination of factors, including fan passion, the desire for exclusivity, and new revenue streams. By creating unique digital items that fans are willing to pay for, artists and companies can generate additional income and monetize their fan base in new ways.
