The latest Novella Royale collection for Spring 2015 was inspired by the free-spirited women of the 1970s.
As far as decades go, the 70s seem to be one of the most exciting. Described as a "pivot of change," the 1970s marked some serious social, cultural, economic and political shifts. The "free love" hippie mentality of the 1960s slowly evolved into a more autonomous, individualistic outlook on life. The term "badass b*tch" wasn't yet invented in the 1970s, but it would have been the perfect way to describe the women who spawned tremendous change during the era.
As for the lookbook, it was shot in Topanga Canyon's Moonfire Ranch, an infamous locale that was once a stomping ground for celebrities like Jim Morrison, Andy Warhol and even the Mansons.
