Gregory S. Nottingham takes toilet habits seriously and has come up with a do-it-yourself version of a bidet. The low-tech, low-cost solution uses a garden hose and easy-to-find garden hose fittings to make a device that sprays you clean without toilet paper. Nottingham also claims that toilet-cleaning chores will be reduced with this contraption.
There’s no reason it wouldn’t work, but I wonder how ‘clean’ it really stays over time. The aesthetics could use some improvement... He suggests a transparent hose. Still, this is a down-and-dirty solution for cleaning up a messy situation.
