The 'Nike Bruin' has a long and distinguished history as an innovative sneaker silhouette that introduced the brand to the world of basketball in 1972. The sneaker design also invaded the world of pop culture, notably being worn by Michael J.Fox's character Marty McFly in the film 'Back to the Future.'
After 42 years from its original debut, the 'Nike Bruin' is being re-released as the 'NikeLab Bruin Leather.' This new sneaker release faithfully resembles the style of the pair worn by Marty McFly before eventually upgrading to the futuristic self-lacing sneakers he sports throughout the second film.
This new release maintains the white upper with red swoosh detailing of the original, but provides a subtle update that replaces an original suede upper and autoclave outsole for a full-grain leather upper with cupsoles instead.
