These Nike Be True sneakers were released to support the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month. The Nike Cortez Be True Collection have a special edition colorway as part of the brand's equality campaign. Since 2012 the iconic sportswear company has been committed to celebrating "the achievements of the New York City, San Francisco and Portland communities as progressive leaders of LGBT life with city-specific footwear releases and accompanying hat and tee."

The rainbow makeover adds a bright pop of color to the retro-inspired Cortez design, with its white nylon, platinum suede and black swoosh logo. A Nike Be True tag can also be found on the tongue of the shoe. Other features include a pink sock liner and seven Be True lace dubrae variations to choose from.
